Delight à l'espagnole
Delicacies from Spain are not only delicious on vacation, but also at home. The company Bon Regal (with his commercial name for export: BR SPANISH GOURMET), with over 2,000 gourmet products, and the logistics company LOGIFRIO, which specializes in food transport, with the partners from the European Food Network, ensure that the best hams, olives, the finest cheeses and excellent wines are available not only on the Iberian Peninsula, but also throughout Europe.
As varied as the country with its beautiful beaches, with mountains and natural parks, with historic cities, with art and culture is also the Spanish cuisine. Each region has its own specialties, often influenced by the history of Spain. The upscale cuisine, especially in Barcelona or San Sebastián, also delights gourmets worldwide. But the delightful, Spanish attitude to life traditionally finds its origin in excellent, versatile home cooking. These are made from the best ingredients and produces specialties that meet almost every taste and more than spoil the palates of connoisseurs. Probably the best known culinary delicacies are paella, which originated in Valencia a good 200 years ago, and gazpacho andalúz, a soup served cold and made from uncooked ingredients. Tapas, small dishes served cold or hot with beer or wine, are also a real highlight of Spanish culinary art. But it is not only the specialties from the kitchen that delight gourmets. The fine wines produced in the wine-growing regions, such as Penedès, Priorat / Montsant, Ribera del Duero and Rioja, shine year after year with awards and are among the best wines in the world.
BR SPANISH GOURMET - Culinary at its best
BR Spanish Gourmet is committed to making Spain's culinary delights, with their wide range of unique specialties, available not only in their core market but also throughout Europe. Originally, the company only focused on customers within Spain.
The starting signal for Bon Regal S.L. was given in 1992. The business idea of the friendly professionals from the food industry Pablo Pérez y Josep Martí was simple but ingenious. The founders specialized in assembling and shipping "Lotes de Navidad". These special gift baskets have a long tradition in Spain. Entrepreneurs give their employees a "Lote de Navidad" as a gift at Christmas time. They are usually filled with various wines, cavas, savory as well as sweet treats and the typical turrónes. The all-round service was very well received. It was therefore only logical to expand the range of products on offer. Since 2006, customers have also been able to purchase promotional items such as ham holders and knives, champagne coolers, corkscrews and much more from Bon Regal.
High enjoyment factor guaranteed
This was followed in 2008 by the sale of Spanish delicacies in Europe, with the creation of its commercial name for export, BR Spanish Gourmet. While initially only a small range of hams was available, more than 2000 products are currently provided. The selection represents almost the entire spectrum of Spanish eating and drinking culture. Of course, customers can also order the finest hams or cheeses and order outstanding products such as a Jamón Ibérico Bellota - Jamones De Juviles (100% acorn-fed Iberian ham) and a Vega Mancha-Sotuelamos (smoked sheep's milk cheese with white truffle). In addition, customers can find in Bon Regal's portfolio, among other things, sausages and pâtés, oils and vinegars, olives and dates, ready-made dishes such as paellas and tapas, and much more. Bon Regal also offers sparkling cavas, fine wines, and other premium-quality beverage specialties such as horchatas and sangria.
Sophisticated distribution
It is not only the lovingly stocked product range that is convincing, but also the sales concept that shows that BR Spanish Gourmet knows the needs of its customers and knows exactly how to open up new sales channels. Rebecca Plag, export manager at BR Spanish Gourmet: "We do most of our business with customers from the HoReCa sectors, owners of delicatessens and beverage distributors. Our positioning makes it clear that we offer companies from the SME sector in particular the option of sourcing high-quality products and foodstuffs directly from Spain." This works perfectly because buyers are offered the opportunity to put together pallets individually tailored to their needs, with access to the entire product portfolio. The advantage is that the customer buys a large assortment, but does not have to purchase large quantities of each product range. In the meantime, in addition to customers from the Iberian Peninsula, interested parties from eleven other European countries order the Spanish food and beverages. Most orders come from Germany and Belgium. In addition, customers from Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic are currently being supplied.
Reliable partnership
LOGIFRIO has been BR Spanish Gourmet’s logistics partner since 2017. Rebecca Plag: "Our products are very sensitive to handle and our distribution concept is complex, especially because of our constantly growing shipments to more countries in Europe. That's why we were looking for a logistics partner who understands our and our business and can meet our ever-growing requirements. We have chosen LOGIFRIO. The right choice. Because every day we experience that LOGIFRIO's employees, with their flexibility, agility and high quality of service, fulfill our logistics tasks with great commitment in a spirit of partnership."
