The day begins with a "Moin”
[Transnational networks work when there are people behind them who communicate openly, pursue common goals and respect each other. With this look behind the scenes, we introduce you to employees within the European Food Network who, with their know-how and enthusiasm for the job, ensure that your food products are available across Europe every day.]

In this article, Stefanie Beister, who is Team Leader Export/Import at DACHSER's Bremen Food Logistics branch, talks about the challenges of her work and why she really feels at home in her job.
The good atmosphere in the team is particularly close to my heart. Every time I look forward to the daily intensive exchange with my colleagues from DACHSER in Bremen, in the German branches and in the locations of the European Food Network partners, which makes me feel a little better every day. In the morning, my working day begins with a cheerful "Moin" and a smile on my lips. When I start my PC, I always let myself be surprised, because I never know what to expect: Which tours are planned in export/import, which customers call to ask where exactly their goods are or which new transport routes arise or have to be taken into account in the planning. These are just a few examples of my diverse tasks.
This exciting and interesting job in food logistics inspires me again and again. The prerequisites for being able to work successfully are, in particular, communication skills, flexibility and absolute team thinking. You also have to learn process flows on a permanent basis, think outside the box and not take your ego too seriously. Above all, independent, reliable work is required. The following sentence, which was given to me, has left its mark on me: "Decisions are there to be made - and problems are there to be solved. "
I studied "International Transport Management" and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. However, I was actually born into this profession. My mother is a qualified forwarding agent. After work, sport is a big part of my life. I go to the gym and am a passionate fan of Werder Bremen. Whenever possible, I watch the games in the stadium with friends and/or family - alternatively, sometimes in front of the TV. I also love to read - especially fantasy novels - and often meet friends for dinner to spend time together and just have fun. In fact, in almost all the time I've been doing this job, I've also been able to laugh about at least one little thing every day - even if it's just a colleague cheering me up with kind words when I'm having a bad day for once.
I hope that I have been able to give you a little insight into my daily work and that you have enjoyed reading. By the way: "Moin" is a greeting we use at any time of the day or night.
Yours, Stefanie Beister
