Zott extends logistics contract with Liegl & Dachser ahead of term
Liegl & Dachser has been responsible for supplying Zott dairy products to the Hungarian distribution center and for distributing them nationwide since mid-2008. The parties have now agreed a long-term continuation of their collaboration—well before expiry of the existing contract.

Dairy producer Zott stocks up to 1,600 pallets at Liegl & Dachser’s Budapest logistics terminal. The experts at the warehouse in Jászberényi út (located in Pest, the eastern part of Budapest, in the tenth district) pick almost 400,000 cartons every month for deliveries to recipients all over the country, including the major retail chains Tesco, Spar, Auchan, Penny, Meal-Trade, and Lidl. All picked pallets are subject to an additional inspection process to ensure the highest level of quality. Some 25,000 metric tons of cheese, yogurt, and other dairy products leave the warehouse every year.
In 2008, Zott Hungary kft became Liegl & Dachser’s first Hungarian contract logistics customer. Liegl & Dachser was able to continue deliveries without disruption even during the relocation of stocks to the new logistics facility in Pest in 2017. “So we’re proud of the fact that Zott has been always been satisfied with the level of service we provide,” says Tamas Horváth, General Manager Food Logistics at Dachser Budapest. Maciej Rykała, Zott’s logistics manager for Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, led the negotiations on behalf of Zott: “We’ve had a great working relationship with Dachser Food Logistics in Germany for many years now and recently stepped up our collaboration there. That’s why we were sure we’d get the same excellent service from Dachser in Hungary, and there’s still no doubt about that. We’re looking forward to continuing our work together.”
Dachser Food Logistics provides food manufacturers and distributors with temperature-controlled logistics solutions for their goods. In addition to its forwarding facility, Liegl & Dachser’s fresh food logistics center offers 33,800 m² of storage space in various temperature zones ranging from +2 to +25°C.
