Italy plays a key role in European goods transport as both a producer nation and a consumer nation. With this in mind, in 2012 DACHSER acquired a 50-percent stake in Italian food logistics company Papp Italia after two years of collaboration. This was followed by full acquisition in 2017, when the company began to operate under the new name of DACHSER Italy Food Logistics. With its new acquisition, DACHSER will expand its contract logistics operations in Italy and drive further internationalization.
All logistics processes and the IT system at DACHSER Italy Food Logistics have been migrated to DACHSER standards and the company is now fully integrated into all DACHSER network processes.
