First-class food logistics in Hungary

Since the beginning of 2008, DACHSER Food Logistics has also been serving the Hungarian food market via the LIEGL & DACHSER joint venture. On December 20, 2022, DACHSER acquired the remaining 50 percent of its Hungarian joint ventures and has been called DACHSER Hungary since June 1, 2024. The company has established itself as one of the leading players for 24-hour deliveries as well as distribution and procurement transports in Hungary. As a member of the European Food Network, DACHSER Hungary also offers scheduled groupage shipments throughout Europe.

With an annual turnover of over 100 million euros and more than 600,000 deliveries (as of 2023), DACHSER Hungary is one of the most successful logistics services providers in Hungary today. The joint venture was launched in the landlocked Central European country in 1999 and quickly developed into one of the market-leading transport companies between Budapest and Szeged with its European Logistics division.

“With our new logistics facility, we have created an important basis for further growth in the Hungarian and European markets. The site is directly connected to the greater Budapest area and the European transport network via the M0 motorway. With the extremely favourable location and the extended operating and storage area, we have optimum conditions for the handling and temperature-controlled storage of foodstuffs. This enables us to offer our customers in food production, trade and export first-class quality and the best service.“

Our certifications and awards

With its Food Logistics division, DACHSER Hungary fulfils all legal requirements for food law, such as the IFS Logistics (International Featured Standard) standard, according to which all logistics activities involving food and non-food products are regularly audited in order to document the high quality of the systems and processes used to guarantee food safety throughout the entire supply chain.

The DACHSER Hungary quality management system is also certified in accordance with the international ISO 9001 standard and is therefore subject in two ways to the strict HACCP food safety regulations. This ensures complete traceability of shipments, continuous temperature documentation and strict hygiene management at all times.
